In a previous meeting on September 12, 2023, the Worcester City Council decided to delay voting on two ordinances that could censor pregnancy resource centers operating in the city. They wanted a second unbiased opinion on these ordinances but couldn't get it by the September 15, 2023, deadline.

Officials in Worcester, along with pro-abortion groups, are attempting to censor pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) that provide assistance to women and infants.

The Worcester City Council is considering draft legislation aimed at regulating "crisis pregnancy centers," also known as Pregnancy Resource Centers, which offer multiple free services to pregnant women but not abortion.
