On Friday, March 1, 2024, CVS and Walgreens announced that they will begin selling the abortion pills, mifepristone and misoprostol, in Massachusetts. The chains recently received certification to dispense the drugs in a small group of states, a process they initiated after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved new regulations last year allowing brick and mortar retailers to offer chemical abortion.

The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) is encouraging medical professionals to rally together on Tuesday, March 26, in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to make a powerful statement urging the FDA to safeguard women from potential harm caused by abortion drugs. On this day, the federal mifepristone case, Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA, will be presented for oral arguments at the Supreme Court.
