Pro-life advocates gathered in Gardner on August 25 as Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll arrived in town, making their opposition to Massachusetts’ new abortion law visible during the governor’s visit.
Healey was in Gardner to celebrate the opening of a new childcare center at Heywood Hospital. Nearby, pro-life advocates gathered at the rotary to protest the governor’s recent signing of the late-term abortion expansion legislation.
The demonstration comes as Massachusetts Citizens for Life continue to raise awareness about the implications of allowing abortions later in pregnancy.
