Help us get legislators and candidates on the record.

With the November 3 election approaching, MCFL is building a statewide record of where Massachusetts legislators and candidates stand on two important issues:

• Legal protections for viable unborn babies: Will they support restoring these protections?
• Funding for abortion alternatives: Will they support state funding to help women continue their pregnancies and raise their children?

This project goes beyond the upcoming election. By documenting their positions, we are creating a resource voters can use to make informed decisions and MCFL can draw on to guide future legislative efforts.

We have already received responses from several legislators and candidates and are gathering their answers. With the October 28 deadline approaching, we need your help to make this record as complete as possible.

How you can help

1. Ask your legislators to respond.

If you haven't already, contact your State Representative and State Senator through our online system. The message asks them to answer both questions and make their positions clear to their constituents.

2. Encourage candidates to participate.

MCFL is also reaching out to candidates running for the Massachusetts Legislature. If you know a candidate, please share our candidate response form with them. Participation is voluntary, and every response helps voters better understand where candidates stand.

Help us complete the record by October 28.

Whether you've already contacted your legislators or are taking action for the first time, you can help us gather more responses and build a lasting record of their positions.

The information we collect will help identify where support exists, where further advocacy is needed, and what work lies ahead to protect viable unborn babies and expand support for alternatives to abortion.
