Rep. Riley Moore, R-W.Va., is calling for a full investigation into the deaths of the "D.C. Five"—five late-term babies whose remains were recovered from a Washington, D.C., abortion clinic in 2022.
The facility is linked to Cesare Santangelo, a known late-term abortion provider. Moore alleges the DOJ obstructed justice by ordering the babies’ remains destroyed without autopsies.
The deaths raised serious concerns about potential violations of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban and Born-Alive Infant Protection Act. During a June 23 hearing, Moore pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi to commit to an investigation. Bondi said the matter remains ongoing but declined further comment.
The renewed push for justice comes just ahead of the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, as pro-lifers intensify demands for accountability.
