I hope you’re reading this in a hammock, on a beach, or with your feet up on a cooler of icy cold Labor Day beverages. The last weekend of summer has arrived and with it the perennial reminder to rest and reflect on our work’s value.
Even here at Massachusetts Citizens for Life, my team and I are catching our breath and grabbing a couple of Z’s.
But we’re also restocking the coffee and finalizing preparations for what’s likely to be our most dynamic season ever.
This is my personal invitation to join – and support – us in one or all of our current initiatives:
The first-of-its kind memorial honoring lives lost to Massachusetts abortions in a single year, our display of lifelike fetal models representing 49,450 unborn children and their parents arrives in Hopkinton September 12, Agawam on October 24 and the State House on October 29.
On August 10, 2026, Governor Maura Healey signed H.5595 into law, allowing abortion up to birth, even on healthy moms and healthy, viable, pain-capable babies. Every Beacon Hill legislator is up for reelection, including those who voted for this gruesome bill that puts women’s safety at risk. Ask incumbents to take a position before you cast your ballot in the November election.
Effort to repeal Governor Healey’s 9-month abortion bill
Before the ink dried on Governor Healey’s politicized signature, we started receiving messages from outraged residents across the state, people sickened that Healey had legalized abortion up to birth for healthy mothers and healthy, pain-capable infants. Every person who contacted us wanted us to “do something” to restore protections for viable, fully formed babies.
Together with Massachusetts Family Action, the Massachusetts Alliance to Stop Taxpayer Funded Abortions, and a growing coalition of concerned citizens, we’re confident that we can restore protections for viable, pain-capable infants and for women who deserve safety over abortion “access.”
Authentic women’s rights champion and outspoken pro-life advocate Riley Gaines joins us three weeks from today. This weekend might be about rest, but at the rate things are going, you don’t want to sleep through this alarm to grab one of the dwindling seats for this spectacular evening!
