Pro-life leader Lila Rose was declared the winner of a major debate at Yale University, where the Yale Political Union voted 60–31 against the resolution “choice over life.” As The College Fix reports, the outcome surprised even some organizers.
Rose, president of Live Action, argued that unborn children deserve legal protection, warning that history shows the dangers of denying humanity to vulnerable groups. Her opponent, Frances Kissling of Catholics for Choice, argued abortion access reflects women’s freedom and health.
Despite heightened security following last week’s tragic campus violence, the debate drew a packed lecture hall. Rose called the vote “a sign of hope” at a university long known for its progressive leanings.
