National Right to Life Director Raimundo Rojas examines New York’s newly implemented assisted suicide law and the concerns surrounding its impact on vulnerable patients in “Welcome to Kathy Hochul’s New York.”
The law, signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul earlier this year and effective August 5, allows terminally ill patients to receive drugs intended to end their lives. Rojas explains that the policy represents a dangerous shift in how society views vulnerable human lives and warns that removing safeguards can put patients at risk.
As New York begins implementing the law, National Right to Life and MCFL continue to oppose physician-assisted suicide and advocate for compassionate alternatives that protect human dignity and the value of every life.
