As part of consolidating and improving the MCFL YouTube channel, we recently republished a powerful video honoring Dr. Mildred Jefferson, the first Black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School and a past MCFL president.
The republication is timely, as a recent National Right to Life report noted that Harvard’s course History 167: Race, Gender, and the Law Through the Archive, which highlights Black women who shaped 21st-century politics, did not include Dr. Jefferson. Featured figures include Michelle Obama, Stacey Abrams, and Kamala Harris.
