Thank you to everyone who stood with us during last week’s hearing for H.217, An Act Relative to Ensuring Resources and Support for Pregnant and Parenting Families. Your voices were heard in defense of pregnancy resource centers and the women and families they serve.
The hearing may be over, but the work continues. The Committee is still accepting written testimony, and your message can make a real impact before the bill moves forward.
1. Send your written testimony (if you haven't)
If you have not yet submitted your testimony in support of H.217, please take a few minutes to do so today. Written testimony can be brief, even a few sentences sharing why you believe every woman deserves to know about real help and resources can make a difference.
- You can send your testimony through MCFL’s Legislative Action Center.
- Or you can send your testimony of support to:
Audrey Herrman, [email protected]
2. Already sent your testimony? Help us spread the word
If you have already taken action, thank you. You can still help by forwarding this email to friends, family, and colleagues who share your concern for mothers and families. Encourage them to send their own short statement of support. The more voices the Committee hears, the stronger the message will be.
H.217 ensures that state agencies share accurate and unbiased information about pregnancy and parenting support, including non-profit pregnancy centers, churches, shelters, and programs that walk with women and families through every stage of pregnancy and parenting.
Together, we can help ensure Massachusetts remains a place where every mother is informed, supported, and empowered.
Thank you for standing with us,
The MCFL Team
