Springfield hosts regional Mass and March for Life on January 22

The Diocese of Springfield will hold its annual Mass and March for Life on Thursday, January 22.

Bishop William D. Byrne will celebrate the Mass for Life at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Cathedral, followed by a march to Springfield City Hall. Those unable to march are invited to remain in the cathedral to pray the rosary.

Organized by Pope Francis Preparatory School and Pro-Life of Pioneer Valley, the event brings together students, families, and pro-life supporters from across western Massachusetts.

Father Daniel Pacholec, director of Pro-Life Activities for the Diocese of Springfield, said the gathering is “a wonderful opportunity for those who seek to be a visible witness in defense of life, here in this western part of Massachusetts,” adding that “there is strength and support when we gather together.”
