After nearly fifty years and 65 million lives lost due to abortion on demand, the Supreme Court finally overturned Roe v. Wade today. We did it!!!

In the majority opinion (along a 6-3 conservative majority vote) Justice Alito obliterated the Court’s 1973 decisions in Roe and Casey that legalized abortion on demand through all nine months claiming a nonexistent “right” to abortion. Today, the Court corrected this gross mistake.

Let me make this clear: the Court’s ruling today says there is no Constitutional right to an abortion, however, it does not outlaw abortion. Abortions will still happen legally across the country, especially here in Massachusetts. The Court sent the abortion regulations back to the states where state legislators will decide their own states’ abortion laws. In other words, Massachusetts legislators will decide the Commonwealth’s abortion legislation.
