The Joint Committee on the Judiciary will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the State House and virtually. Several of MCFL’s priority bills will be heard, including legislation on coerced abortion, unborn victims of violence, protections for children with Down syndrome, and fetal homicide.
This is an important moment for the pro-life cause in Massachusetts. Your voice can influence how these bills move forward, and the window to testify virtually closes this Sunday, November 16, at 5:00 p.m (register here).
MCFL-supported bills included in this hearing:
- H.1662 Relative to coerced abortion
- H.1663 An Act relative to unborn victims of violence
- H.1665 Related to Down syndrome
- H.1793 An Act relative to fetal homicide
The Committee will begin the hearing at 1:00 p.m. with virtual testimony from incarcerated individuals until roughly 2:30 p.m. Testimony from the public in person and virtual will follow.

How to participate
- Testify virtually. Deadline Sunday at 5 p.m. Register here.
To testify virtually, you must register by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16. Register using the Committee form. Once registered, you will receive instructions for joining the hearing.
- Testify in person
Anyone wishing to testify in person may sign up on the day of the hearing, although early sign up through the form is encouraged. The Chair will limit testimony to two minutes per person.
