A 23-year-old Florida man is facing the death penalty for the 2022 murder of his 18-year-old girlfriend, Kaylin Fiengo, and their unborn son after she refused to have an abortion.
Donovan Faison was convicted of first-degree murder, killing an unborn child, and burglary with a firearm. A jury voted 11-1 in favor of a death sentence.
Investigators found a bullet casing and an ultrasound image at the scene, and phone messages revealed Faison’s anger over the pregnancy. The final sentencing decision by Circuit Judge Donna Goerner is scheduled for December 5, 2025.
