A new poll from the Associated Press and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows the highest levels of pro-life sentiment since the Dobbs leak in 2022.
The percentage of Americans who say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases rose seven points since June 2024. Support for abortion in specific circumstances also declined.
This is the second major poll this summer pointing to a shift. A June Gallup poll similarly found more Americans identifying as pro-life and viewing abortion as morally wrong. Despite persistent negative media coverage of pro-life laws, these results suggest growing momentum and renewed optimism for the pro-life cause.
