On Friday, September 26, 2025, Massachusetts Citizens for Life hosted its 52nd annual fundraising banquet, celebrating more than five decades of unwavering commitment to defending life.
Held in Newton, the event drew record attendance, filling every table and surpassing previous years with an atmosphere of unity, inspiration, and purpose.
As guests arrived, greeters and volunteers welcomed them in the hotel lobby, directing general admission guests to the cocktail reception and guiding VIP guests to a special gathering on the lower level. The reception was lively, with passed hors d’oeuvres and conversation among hundreds of supporters, staff, and friends of MCFL. VIP guests also had the chance to meet keynote speaker Kayleigh McEnany, former White House Press Secretary and co-host of Outnumbered on Fox News.

As the evening program began, Raimundo Rojas, Outreach and Events Director for National Right to Life, took the podium to welcome guests and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Fr. David J. Mullen of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Bellingham offered the invocation, setting a reverent tone for the evening.

Dinner service began with salads and bread already set at each table, followed by a plated entrée of herb-roasted organic chicken or butternut squash ravioli, and a dessert of New York-style cheesecake with strawberry caviar.
David Franks, Ph.D., Chairman of MCFL, opened the formal remarks by welcoming attendees and introducing Myrna Maloney Flynn, who gave a brief address before inviting the next segment.

The MCFL Young Adult Chapter was represented by John Skalko, Ph.D., who introduced Krystle Arce, sharing her powerful story of choosing life through Abortion Pill Reversal. Her testimony moved the audience and underscored MCFL’s commitment to supporting women and families in crisis.

After a dinner intermission, Rojas resumed the program with reflections on MCFL’s national impact, introducing Christine Farrell, a Safe Havens advocate who spoke about her involvement with the MCFL Action Teams. A short video followed, offering a behind-the-scenes look at MCFL’s ongoing efforts across the Commonwealth.

Returning to the podium, Flynn detailed MCFL’s accomplishments over the past year and presented the organization’s goals for the year ahead. She highlighted bipartisan legislative efforts, the educational reach of APRScience.org, and the growing engagement of young advocates throughout Massachusetts.
Before the keynote address, Rojas encouraged attendees to support MCFL’s mission through donations collected by table captains. He then introduced Kayleigh McEnany, who delivered an inspiring keynote speech centered on faith, resilience, and the importance of standing for truth and life in public service.

As the evening drew to a close, Rojas returned to the stage for final announcements and a short tribute video, after which guests joined in prayer before departing.
The banquet concluded with renewed purpose and optimism. Guests left inspired by the speakers, strengthened in their faith, and united in their commitment to defend the dignity of every human life in Massachusetts and beyond.
