Oppose the pro-abortion sex ed “Healthy Youth Act”

The Massachusetts Joint Committee on Education will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Gardner Auditorium at the State House (and virtually).

Two bills on the agenda threaten parental rights and push a pro-abortion agenda in Massachusetts classrooms:

H.656 / S.340 — “An Act Relative to Healthy Youth”

These bills would mandate a statewide, pro-abortion sexual education curriculum that exposes children to harmful content and undermines families. MCFL strongly opposes this legislation.

Here’s how you can make your voice heard:

1. Testify in person or virtually

Testimony is limited to two minutes per person.

2. Submit written testimony

Written testimony is a powerful way to weigh in, whether or not you attend the hearing.

Email your statement to: Fiona Bruce-Baiden (House staff): [email protected], and Dennis Burke (Senate staff): [email protected]

Or mail it to:
Committee on Education
24 Beacon Street, Room 473G
Boston, MA 02133

Important:

Include “EDUCATION COMMITTEE TESTIMONY” and the bill number in your subject line.

Provide your name, organization (if any), and phone number.

The Committee will accept written testimony until Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Very soon, our Legislative Action Center will provide an easy way for you to send testimony opposing these bills. Watch for this update and be ready to act.
