NRLC applauds Supreme Court review of donor privacy case

The National Right to Life Committee commends the U.S. Supreme Court for agreeing to hear First Choice Women’s Resource Centers v. Platkin, a case critical to protecting the privacy of pro-life donors.

The case arose after New Jersey sought to force First Choice Women’s Resource Centers to disclose nearly 5,000 donor names. NRLC warns that such government demands threaten Americans’ constitutional right to support life-affirming organizations without fear of intimidation.

“No government official should misuse state power to harass pro-life groups,” said NRLC President Carol Tobias. The Supreme Court’s decision will determine whether charitable donors can remain protected from government intrusion.
