A Massachusetts mother has made a record-breaking breast milk donation to Cape Cod Hospital, giving 1,900 ounces of breast milk to the hospital’s breast milk depot.
Maura DiPilato’s donation is the largest ever received by the hospital and will support babies across New England through Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast.
According to Cape Cod Healthcare, donor breast milk provides access to safe, pasteurized human milk and supports the health of infants and families.
