The Massachusetts Legislature has extended the reporting deadline for "An Act relative to end of life options" (H.2505) to July 31, 2026.
The extension was announced on June 17, 2026, as the bill remains under consideration.
We strongly oppose this bill, which would legalize physician-assisted suicide in Massachusetts.
This bill weakens safeguards, puts vulnerable individuals at risk, and undermines medical ethics and conscience protections. Similar legislation was rejected by Massachusetts voters in a 2012 ballot question.
