An undercover investigation conducted by Live Action in partnership with detransitioner Chloe Cole found that Planned Parenthood clinics contacted in multiple states were able to describe gender-transition services, but staff were generally unable to identify clear detransition-specific services or clinical pathways.
In recorded calls, employees said they provide “gender-affirming care,” but indicated they were not aware of dedicated detransition programs or treatment protocols for patients seeking to reverse or address prior medical transition.
When asked about fertility concerns and other medical effects following transition-related treatment, staff responses varied, with some suggesting appointments or referrals to outside providers, while others stated they did not believe such services were offered.
The investigation was conducted by Live Action and promoted in collaboration with Lila Rose. It comes amid ongoing national debate over gender-transition care and federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
