A Houston attorney who admitted to spiking his wife’s drink with an abortion drug and causing the premature birth of their daughter has been sentenced to eight years in prison for violating probation and a protective order, according to court records.
Mason Herring had previously received probation after pleading guilty in 2024 to assault and injury charges related to the forced abortion attempt.
