Massachusetts Citizens for Life volunteer Victoria Cohen received front-page recognition in The Sun Chronicle for her work distributing “baby safe haven” signs in Attleboro.
These signs, now installed at the city’s fire department, police department, and Sturdy Memorial Hospital, inform parents that they can safely surrender a newborn with no questions asked.
MCFL president Myrna Maloney Flynn praised Cohen’s efforts: “A massive congratulations to you for your wonderful efforts that have resulted in the front-page Sun Chronicle article! Your dedication and determination, balanced with sincerity and love, have brought much-needed attention to the Baby Safe Haven law and MCFL’s role in promoting it.”
Cohen first saw the signs while staffing an MCFL booth at the Big E fair in Springfield and brought them to her community to increase awareness of these lifesaving locations.
