The final criminal charge against journalist David Daleiden has been dismissed and the case fully expunged.
Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, said the dismissal completes the terms of a prior 2025 settlement with California, which called for remaining charges related to 2015 undercover recordings to be dropped after a set period and later expunged.
Under the agreement, no jail time, fines, probation, or admission of wrongdoing were required. The original prosecution began under then–California Attorney General Kamala Harris following the release of the undercover videos.
The case is now fully closed after nearly a decade of legal proceedings.
