Colson Center article reflects on Dr. Mildred Jefferson life and work

The Colson Center for Christian Worldview, through its BreakPoint commentary platform, has published an article reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson, a physician and co-founder of Massachusetts Citizens for Life.

Written by John Stonestreet, president of the Colson Center, and Glenn Sunshine, Ph.D., a BreakPoint contributor, the piece highlights Jefferson’s career in medicine and public advocacy, as well as her role in the early pro-life movement.

Dr. Jefferson, a Harvard Medical School graduate and the first Black woman to earn that degree, co-founded Massachusetts Citizens for Life in 1970 and later served as president of the National Right to Life Committee. She was widely known for her work in medical ethics and public policy.
