Massachusetts Citizens for Life’s H.217, a bipartisan bill ensuring support and resources for pregnant and parenting families, has gained additional co-sponsors.
An Act relative to ensuring resources and support for pregnant and parenting families was presented bipartisanly by Representatives Jeffrey Rosario Turco (D-Winthrop) and David F. DeCoste (R-Norwell), and is co-sponsored by Joseph D. McKenna (R-Worcester), Colleen M. Garry (D-Middlesex), John R. Gaskey (R-Plymouth), John J. Marsi (R-Worcester), and Patrick Joseph Kearney (D-Plymouth).
The legislation requires state agencies to offer accurate, unbiased information about pregnancy and parenting resources—from counseling and prenatal education to food, childcare, and material support, so families can access essential services without discouragement.
