The 2024 Eastern States Exposition – “The Big E” – will take place in Springfield from September 13-29. Here’s how you can attend this favorite New England tradition for FREE!
As we have since the 1970s, MCFL is again sponsoring a booth at The Big E. This event provides a tremendous opportunity to educate others about pro-life truth via face-to-face conversations. Over 1 million visitors attend the fair, and hundreds of thousands pass by our booth. The impact we have cannot be fully conveyed in words – you have to see it to believe it!
We distribute literature and answer questions about abortion, prenatal development, and other pro-life topics. We do not debate or argue with anyone but instead engage in respectful dialogue. Everything is free; we don’t sell anything. Our display includes life-size models of developing babies. Mothers and daughters linger over our displays; children pick up and cradle the models of the “baby.” Men and women, young and old, marvel at the miracle of creation as they see images they have never seen before.
We need 102 volunteers to staff our indoor booth for all 17 days of the fair. Two people are assigned to each shift. Shifts are from 10 am-2 pm, 2-6 pm, and 6-10 pm. If you have never worked the booth, please consider giving it a try this year. It’s fun! It’s also very rewarding to see amazed faces and hear “Thank you for doing this” from complete strangers. If you’re interested in helping out, we can match you with an experienced volunteer. Chairs are provided, so you don’t have to be on your feet for the entire four hours. You can choose your date and the shift or shifts that work for you. Security is available at all times, though in all our years participating at The Big E, MCFL has never had any reason to call on their assistance.
