MCFL now offers prewritten testimony through our Legislative Action Center for the bills addressed at the hearing. You may use the prepared text as is or personalize it before submitting.
Prewritten testimony is available for:
Supporting
• H.1662 An Act Relative to Coerced Abortion
• H.1665 An Act Related to Down Syndrome
Opposing
• H.1991 An Act Relative to Abortion Care for Young People
• H.1815 An Act Enhancing Access to Abortion
Written testimony may be submitted in two ways. You can use our Legislative Action Center for a simple and direct submission process, or send your testimony by email using the Committee contacts. For House bills, email testimony to [email protected].
Both methods ensure the Committee receives your message. Written testimony continues to play a crucial role in how these bills advance, and every submission strengthens the case for protecting women and children in Massachusetts.
Urgent action: Oppose S.1486 / H.2505 – Doctor-Prescribed Suicide
On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Health Care Financing recommended “ought to pass” for the Doctor-Prescribed Suicide bill, An Act Relative to End of Life Options, and referred it to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means. This legislation has been proposed more than a dozen times, including as a ballot question in 2012, when Massachusetts voters rejected it. This bill puts vulnerable populations at risk and undermines safeguards for patients.
The legislation is moving quickly, and immediate action is needed.
We urge you to contact your legislators and ask them to oppose this bill. MCFL provides a prewritten statement and phone script you can use to communicate directly with your legislators. Your message ensures lawmakers hear strong opposition before the bill advances.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Every message and testimony makes a difference in protecting women, children, and vulnerable populations in Massachusetts. Stay alert for future alerts and opportunities to take action
