New statistics reveal that over 73 million abortions took place worldwide in 2024, making abortion the leading cause of death globally.

According to data compiled by Worldometers and based on World Health Organization estimates, these tragic losses far exceed deaths from cancer, disease, accidents, and other causes combined.

In the United States, abortion remains the leading cause of death as well, with nearly 1 million unborn babies aborted each year. Since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, an estimated 66 million babies have been lost to abortion in America alone.
