“Defending Second Chances”: New site provides updates on APR legal battle

The Thomas More Society has launched “Defending Second Chances,” a new resource page providing updates and background information on its legal defense of Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), including the ongoing trial in California.

The case centers on efforts by two state attorneys general to restrict women’s access to information about Abortion Pill Reversal, a protocol that may counteract the effects of an ongoing chemical abortion when a woman changes her mind and seeks to continue her pregnancy.

According to the Thomas More Society, California is seeking more than $20 million in penalties against Heartbeat International and RealOptions for sharing information about APR with women who voluntarily seek it. Thomas More Society is defending the organizations, arguing that the case raises important questions about free speech and women’s access to informed choices.

The “Defending Second Chances” site provides case updates, legal background, and resources for those following the fight over Abortion Pill Reversal and the ability of women to access information when facing unexpected pregnancy decisions.
