Massachusetts Citizens for Life will have a table at the fourth annual Weekend 4 Life in Massachusetts' historic City of Presidents, where we will join pro-life advocates Kristan Hawkins, Mother Olga of the Sacred Heart, Angletta Georges, Arryn Vogan, Brandon Fits, and Mayor Thomas P. Koch, and many organizations.
The fourth annual Weekend 4 Life is set to take place in Quincy and will draw people from all over New England in celebration of the sacredness of life.
Two powerful nights of prayer and witness kick off on Thursday, April 13th at Sacred Heart Church of the Divine Mercy Parish, 386 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA, with a MASS 4 LIFE celebrated by Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley OFM Cap, Archbishop of Boston.
The festivities will culminate on Friday, April 14th at The Boston Marriott Quincy, 1000 Marriott Dr. Quincy, MA 02169 with a Night 4 Life, this year entitled YOUTH 4 LIFE, and will feature a full schedule of events that includes exciting keynote speakers, prayer, Adoration for Life, praise and worship music and the offering of a Rosary for Life.
“We are once again privileged to be host to an event in our city that brings such a powerful witness to the gift of life here in Massachusetts,” said Mayor Thomas P. Koch, City of Quincy. “As demonstrated in the news each day, the assault on life seems endless. I’m proud to be a part of an event that truly celebrates life.”
Compelling keynotes will be delivered by Kristan Hawkins, Catholic, wife, mother, grassroots activist, author, speaker, Podcast host and a human rights advocate and President of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action. Weekend 4 Life spiritual director and dynamic speaker Mother Olga of the Sacred Heart will be making the introductions and offering prayerful reflections throughout. We will also have powerful testimonies from Angletta Georges who will deliver a powerful witness on Thursday night, following the Mass 4 Life. A brave and courageous woman who chose the light of life over the darkness of abuse. On Friday, Arryn Vogan, beloved wife, and a courageous young mother will share her testimony of how she chose to protect the life of her son in the womb in the midst of her battle with cancer. Brandon Fits and Friends will be back to lead spirited worship at the Youth 4 Life on Friday, and Mayor Thomas P. Koch, will also share some closing remarks.
“Our event is a prayerful celebration of life. We come together to offer prayers of thanksgiving to God, the Author of every life.” We come together to celebrate the gift of every life from the moment of conception to natural death. said Mother Olga of the Sacred Heart, Foundress of the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth. “We also gather to be inspired by the stories of life conceived in all circumstances, including a difficult and challenging one. Please join us to pray, to celebrate, and to be inspired.”
The Weekend 4 Life is Sponsored by The Flatley Foundation and presented by the Men of Divine Mercy Prayer Group and the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth. The events are free and open to the public.
“We hope to see young people from college campuses, high school youth groups and in between and we encourage families from all over New England to join this celebration for life,” said Mark Carey, Media Director, Mayor’s Office at the City of Quincy, and WEEKEND 4 LIFE organizer. “We hope to bring a loving message for life that brings strength, hope and encouragement to all. As always, this event is not a rally, protest, or demonstration but a beautiful and prayerful celebration of life.”
Past years' keynote speakers have included Jason Jones, Kathy Ky Morrissey, Benjamin Watson, Abby Johnson, Claire Culwell & Katie Shaw.
