More than 2,000 people, including over 200 mothers whose children were born after Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) treatment, have signed letters defending the Abortion Pill Rescue Network as it faces a legal challenge in California.

The growing show of support comes as the state seeks to restrict the ability of pro-life medical organizations to share information about a treatment that supporters say has helped save more than 8,000 unborn children.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta sued Heartbeat International and RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics in 2023, accusing the organizations of false advertising over their promotion of APR. The groups, represented by Thomas More Society, argue that the lawsuit is an attempt to silence medical information and prevent women who regret taking the abortion pill from learning about a possible way to continue their pregnancies.

The mothers’ letter highlights their personal experiences and calls for women to have access to information, support, and alternatives after starting a chemical abortion. More than 350 healthcare providers and nearly 1,500 members of the public have also signed a broader letter supporting the continued availability of Abortion Pill Rescue Network services.
