Say NO to "R.O.E",(S.1209/H.3320 in MA)

Should Massachusetts promote abortion access over even the woman's safety?

S.1209/H.3320, the "R.O.E." Act, will kill women like Keisha. It will allow doctors to kill or leave to die women like ClaireIt will  leave young girls like these to be exploited by abusers and the sex industry.

It is problematic enough that it is opposed by citizens all across the political divide, both pro-life and pro-choice.

Say NO to extremism and state-sponsored irresponsibility towards our most vulnerable citizens. Sign the petition now and contact your legislator to oppose the "R.O.E." Act.

Do you believe...

...that a child in the womb at seven, eight, or nine months should be deprived of life, even though she is no physical threat to her mother? Because "R.O.E" does, changing our law to make abortion elective all the way up to birth.

...that abortion should be legal after birth? Because "R.O.E." does, allowing for passive infanticide by refusing medical care to a child born alive during an abortion.

...that a pregnant 13 year old should be abandoned to her sexual abuser, and forced into an abortion? Because "R.O.E." does, removing Massachusetts laws that require parental consent or judicial protection and supervision.

...that Massachusetts should increase its tax funding, using your money, to support abortions? Because "R.O.E." does, allocating "Healthy Start" funds towards abortion procedures throughout all nine months.

...that women's health isn't as important as men's? Because "R.O.E." does, farming out dangerous late term surgical abortion procedures to unregulated outpatient facilities, which are not required to keep life saving medical equipment on hand.

S.1209 legalizes infanticide, promotes abortion access over women's health, and removes all protections for human beings in the womb even when viable.

My son was born extremely prematurely at 22 weeks. Although 22 weekers now have a 50-60% chance of survival in some parts of the country and the world, the OB and MFM team denied him a chance at life, and the MFM couldn’t even be bothered to come in, preventing any discussion of options on his behalf. Having held my little boy, I can say very clearly that he was a fully formed human being who should have been afforded some basic human rights. It has become clear to me part of the reason OBs refuse to help preemies is so they can continue to terminate later in pregnancy as it becomes more difficult to justify what amounts to infanticide when one acknowledges these preemies’ potential ability to live healthy productive lives. This bill has more than just consequences for abortion, it has consequences for the 5000 infants born in the US during the periviable period each year, many of whom are being denied a chance at life. Although I am largely a Democrat, I find the concept of infanticide as proposed appalling and strongly oppose this bill.

This bill is an affront to human rights. To place qualifiers on one’s right to life, the most basic of our guaranteed freedoms in the Constitution and in any civilized society, is abhorrent, especially on the basis of something so trivial as whether or not a child is “wanted”. This bill does nothing for women besides perpetuate the lie that children will hold them back – a lie that only serves the very patriarchal institution such legislature claims to rally against by failing to hold them accountable for the importance of the family and the most vulnerable in our society.

America already has appallingly few restrictions on abortion compared to the rest if the Western world…to take away even those restrictions we still have would be a sickening stain on this nations history, and further evidence of our society’s gross disdain for the weak.

Please stop the infanticide. Please protect the smallest and weakest among us…let’s give them a voice! An abortion in the 9th month is MURDER!

I am Pro-life and want to protect the life of children at all cost. I am particularly against infanticide which no civilized country should ever enforce.
