Give me a break!
According to this editorial on a Framingham news website called Framingham Source, our Attorney General is again suing the federal government. That seems to be the way Maura Healey spends most of her time.
The editorial supports her in her latest effort. It does not specify, but the reader has to conclude her current gripe is that some insurance companies will be "allowed" to not cover abortions. The claim is that this is discrimination.
I have been thinking a lot about "abortionspeak". This piece is full of it, claiming that a woman with an ectopic pregnancy would be denied care, that it would deprive women of life-saving services, etc. Of course, this is patently and demonstrably untrue. If it were not so annoying, it would be funny how they bend themselves into verbal pretzels with their obfuscating language.
The rules advanced by the Trump administration’s Department of Health and Human Services would allow employers to opt out of becoming involved in abortion-related medical procedures, preserving conscience rights for those who understand that abortion kills a child and harm their mother.
