Unfortunately, the prevalent Culture of Death influences so much of our society that even charities supposedly devoted to helping people are often implicated in assaults on the sanctity of human life. Sometimes research organizations that support attempts to cure diseases that threaten life are blinded by either their desire to find a cure or easy shortcuts promoted by the popular culture. Often, after going off the rails in this fashion, research charities begin supporting embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, or abortion for children with certain pre-screened conditions. Other times, these organizations develop a connection to an abortion-oriented organization like Planned Parenthood with no obvious connection to their mission.
All of the research charities listed below have at some point conducted, advocated for, or funded anti-life research or worked closely and directly with Planned Parenthood or a similar organization. Not one, to date, has claimed that they are identified in error as anti-life or made any attempt to set the record straight. In all cases, when an organization appears on this list, MCFL has confirmed by phone that the organization supports embryonic stem cell research, abortion for children with certain medical conditions, or the work of Planned Parenthood.
