"You're always stronger than you think you are,” says Chicago mother Michelle Jahnke. This is the pro-life way of looking at people, especially those who have sick children, sick parents, or illnesses of their own.
Michelle was diagnosed with cancer during her pregnancy and was being pressured by the doctor to abort her child in order to treat the tumor. She and her husband refused to accept that and found a doctor willing to find an alternative treatment. Eventually her daughter was born with no ill effects and four years later, Michelle remains cancer free.
This heartwarming story notes that doctors now are able to treat pregnant women for cancer without damaging the baby. That’s another good reason not to "need" an abortion.
