The fight against Doctor-Prescribed Suicide is gearing up for another battle at the State House. Massachusetts Citizens For Life and the Massachusetts Alliances Against Doctor-Prescribed Suicide (MAADPS) are sponsoring public hearings that will be open to the public.
The purpose of these meetings is to host an educational program where experts will present information on H 1991 “An act affirming a terminally ill patient’s right to compassionate aid in dying”. This bill, currently in the legislature, would, if passed, allow doctor prescribed suicide in Massachusetts. The legal and medical implications for individuals and the health care system in general will be discussed.
