Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has announced his selection of Carly Fiorina to be his vice-presidential running mate in an unusual move ahead of actually winning the party’s nomination. This is good news for pro-lifers.
Remember when one of a debate moderator last year tried to question Rick Santorum's pro-life credentials? Carly jumped right in to ask him how he dared question Santorum's credentials. We already liked her very much for her outspoken championing of the babies and her references to the Planned Parenthood baby parts videos.
The National Right to Life Committee is also pleased with the selection:
“Carly Fiorina has been a strong advocate for life and, with Sen. Cruz, creates a powerful pro-life team to lead the United States,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.“Carly has long been an advocate of pro-life legislative efforts to protect innocent human life – unborn children and medically disabled or dependent persons whose lives are threatened by abortion or euthanasia."
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe today has a profile of Cruz, his connection to the Federalist Society, and how he might be thinking about Supreme Court nominations.
