When you are testifying or calling, someone might ask you how we know there are 16 unlicensed facilities.
The Guttmacher Institute is the gold standard of abortion stats. Their information is much more accurate than the Centers for Disease Control. Guttmacher says there are 40 abortion facilities in Massachusetts. The Department of Public health has licensed 18 hospitals to perform abortions and six free-standing facilities. That means 24 out of 40 are licensed and 16 are not licensed.
Please plan to attend hearings and testify or submit your testimony by email. Just pick one important item that moves you. Thank you! Anne
