The first ever Massachusetts Citizens for Life Teachers' Chapter Luncheon was held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from noon to two pm at Wellesley College Club.
I had not yet met most of those who attended — about 15 or 16 educators in all, and all committed to pro-life work. We spent over 2 hours at lunch at the Wellesley club discussing common problems, common practices and exploring future solutions. Among the more common problems discussed were pro-life education for young people, particularly in church settings, as well as increasing student involvement in the March for Life, student lobby days, and parish baby showers for Pregnancy Help.
Participants were committed to future meetings, with five or six hoping to participate in a speaker workshop in the Fall.
