Every Person Has a Right to Live … But She Defines Who’s a Person

Has Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation, had a massive change of heart and conversion to the pro-life cause? In an email to supporters she said, “Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation… We believe in every person’s right to control their own destiny and their own body.”

Well, that’s what pro-lifers have been saying for years: Every person has a right to live. Except that’s not really what Cecile is saying, isn’t it?

What she means is that everyone that Planned Parenthood deems to be a person, i.e. every person who’s been born already, has a right to live, but not persons who happen to not be born yet.

Whether or not you agree with President Trump’s DACA-reversal policy or not, as pro-lifers we can agree that Cecile is being selective in her declaration of her belief in a right to life, as in when it benefits her and Planned Parenthood.

When someone deludes themselves into thinking that they are their own god, then naturally they get to decide what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s logical or illogical, what’s sane and what isn’t.
