2014 Gubernatorial Candidates
The 2014 election for governor will be a contentious one. Unfortunately, only one candidate is 100% pro-life. MCFL has the critical information on where the candidates stand on the most important issue.

Although Charlie Baker and Martha Coakley did not return the MCFL 2014 Questionnaire, we have Scott Lively‘s answers below.
Would you vote for legislation that requires all non-hospital facilities performing more than 10 abortions a year to be licensed as “clinics” and to be inspected at least every two years by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health?
Would you vote for or sponsor A Woman’s Right to Know Act / “Laura’s Law,” which would offer women facts about both abortion and childbirth and provide a 24-hour “reflection period?”
Would you vote for a law which makes the unborn child a second victim when a crime is committed against a pregnant woman?
Would you vote for legislation that bans sex-selection abortion?
Would you vote for legislation requiring a woman to have the option to see an ultrasound of her unborn child prior to an abortion?
Since the federal ban only prohibits the procedure on federal property, would you vote for legislation that bans partial-birth abortion in Massachusetts?
Would you vote for legislation that would allow taxpayers the opportunity to indicate on their state tax return that they would like the portion of their taxes usually spent on government-funded abortions to instead fund the Baby Safe Haven program?
Would you vote for legislation requiring that prenatal development and prenatal care be taught as part of all Health and Wellness education classes in public high schools of the Commonwealth?
